Terms & conditions

Mountain guide office Kals am Grossglockner
Our office acts like an agency for the mountain guides.
Therefore we are not liable for any damages and conflicts with other parties.

Reservation
The registration should be made as soon as possible. We can only take reservations according to our capacity. One-day and two-day tours are booked in a binding agreement three days before the tour starts. Three-day and more-day tours have to be booked in binding agreement latest one month before the tour starts.
The mountain guide office Kals is entitled to cancel or postpone fixed dates short-dated because of unforeseeable circumstances (bad weather, non-availability of a guide) without compensation.

Cancellation fee
If the tour should be cancelled from you in the period between the confirmation of the booking and the start of the tour, the total price of the tour will be claimed by the mountain guide. Even if an illness or an injury should prevent the planned tour, the entire amount has to be paid. Therefore we would recommend the travel insurance found at the end of this page.

Program modification
The mountain guide is entitled to change the route or cancel the planned tour any time because of security reasons, weather conditions or lack of necessary skills of the participants. Should this be the case, principally the full costs have to be paid. Depending on each individual case, a reasonable solution will be found.

Mountain guides
To cover the full range of demand, besides mountain guides from Kals we also work together with other experienced, certified mountain guides from Austria.

Prices
Price changes and errors are reserved.

Liabilities
The highest priority of a mountain guide is the safety of his guests. However, there is always a minimal chance of an act of nature beyond the control of a guide.

Payment
The payment for one and two day tours is made directly to the responsible mountain guide in cash. For three and more day tours the whole amount has to be paid at least one month before the tour starts.

Vouchers
The voucher has to be redeemed within two years of the date of issue. A cash payment is not possible. If the price for a guided tour should be increased within the period of validity, the price difference has to be paid to the mountain guide in cash. The voucher can be used for the entire program offered by the Kalser mountain guide office. Please note that the prices depend on the group size.

Photographic material
Pictures and videos, which are taken by the mountain guide, can be used for public purposes (advertising, internet, etc.). We request the participants for telling us if they feel damaged in their privacy.

Complaint
Complaints and inconsistencies have to be solved with the mountain guide. If the complaints refer to the mountain guide office, they have to be brought forward to the office in written form.

European travel insurance
We strongly recommend travel insurance.
